Hammersmith & Fulham Council have introduced a new traffic reduction scheme in south Fulham to tackle rat running through residential streets by out-of-borough drivers, in particular between Wandsworth Bridge and the New Kings Road. The new restrictions do not apply to H&F residents who hold a H&F parking permit and H&F residents whose vehicle is registered to their H&F home address. The restrictions apply at all times.
If you are visiting Button & Sprung by car you should avoid at all times, in particular, using Imperial Road to the south of our showroom (south of Emden Street, towards Imperial Wharf). The map (linked at the bottom of this page) shows the restricted areas and restricted routes near us, and the permitted route we suggest that you take to and from our showroom.
Suggested (permitted) route to the showroom:
You will avoid a fine and do not need a permit, if you drive to and from the showroom using the New Kings Road / Bagleys Lane traffic light junction to the north-west of us (by the Honda motorcycle shop / Urban Rider shop / post box on the New Kings Road, near Eel Brook Common).
Note that we have 4 free parking spaces in front of our blue roller shutter doors, right outside the showroom entrance, which is at the south end of Imperial Studios (just north of Emden Street). Click here to find us on Google Maps.
You can turn and park temporarily in Emden Street (the side street that is 5 metres to the south of the showroom entrance). The restricted area on Imperial Road (in both directions) starts just south of Emden Street. Note that parking restrictions apply on Emden Street.
One exception, when leaving, is that you can use the the Harwood Terrace cut-through to the Kings Road going north-east (past the Rose pub and the Harley-Davidson garage). Note you cannot use this cut-through going in the other direction (south-west) - see below.
You CANNOT (without a permit, or without getting fined):
Turn left out of the showroom and drive south down Imperial Road at any time, under any circumstances, crossing the camera pointing south, opposite the showroom. To get to Wandsworth Bridge, go up to the New Kings Road / Bagleys Lane traffic light junction, turn left and then left down Wandsworth Bridge Road.
Approach the showroom from the south, coming up Imperial Road (from the direction of Imperial Wharf).
Turn right out of the showroom and then turn left down Bagleys Lane to cut through to Wandsworth Bridge Road (or try this in reverse)
Approach the showroom from the New Kings Road (north-east of the showroom), using the Harwood Terrace cut-through by Tescos and the Harley-Davidson garage (heading south-west).
